Hermès
Amazone (1974) by Hermès is a Floral Aldehyde fragrance for women. Amazone (1974) was launched in 1974. The nose behind this fragrance is Maurice Maurin. Top notes are Galbanum, Cassia, Neroli, Brazilian Rosewood, Mandarin Orange, Bergamot and Violet Leaf; middle notes are Hiacynth, Narcissus, Black Currant, Rose, Iris, Orris Root, Jasmine, Raspberry and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Oakmoss, Vetiver, Neroli, Cedar, Sandalwood, Cinnamon, Ylang-Ylang and Amber. Amazone: symbol of a free and modern femininity, Amazone is inspired by the mythical female equestrians who reigned, according to legend, on the shores of the Black Sea. Maurice Maurin composed the fragrance in 1974, orchestrating it around the blackcurrant bud. The fragrance is a floral green harmony in which jonquil, narcissus, galbanum, red fruits and vetiver play off of one another.
